UYIR and Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science for Women, Coimbatore, have strengthened their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on advancing road safety awareness and contributing towards the vision of Zero Accidents in Coimbatore.

The MoU was signed during a MoU Signing Ceremony and Road Safety Awareness Session held at the college on 20 August 2026, in the presence of Dr. Chitra, Principal, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science for Women, and Captain R. Satish, Head – Administration, LMW and Mentor – Education Vertical, UYIR.

Building on an Existing Partnership

The college is already actively involved in UYIR’s road safety initiatives through its UYIR Road Safety Club. The MoU provides a structured framework to expand these ongoing efforts through greater student and faculty participation.

Focus Areas

The partnership will strengthen:

• Monthly thematic road safety awareness campaigns
• Student and community outreach initiatives
• Road safety research and innovation
• Field studies and road-user behaviour analysis
• Student participation as Road Safety Volunteers and Ambassadors
• Technology-enabled and data-driven road safety solutions

Through this collaboration, students will take road safety awareness beyond the campus and into the wider community.
